Odd installations

I just noticed something strange since installing a Psion Revo to my PC. When double clicking SIS files to install to the Nokia E61 my PC trys to install it to the Revo- surely this should be the other way around?

  1. Hello,
    As far as I remember, the SIS files was also the application installation format for the Revo.
    Maybe after installing the revo, the application used to install files on the revo override settings of the E61 nokia suite.
    Maybe, you could try to reinstall the E61 or to re-assign SIS files to nokia suite.

  2. The revo and the e61 both use symbian (or epoc as it was known back then). Admittedly it’s a bit like comparing windows 95 with XP, but they’re both forever psion at their heart.

    There should be some thing you can do in xp to get nokia suite to be the default handler for sis files.

  3. Indeed. Or just copy/beam SIS files over manually onto the E61 and run them from there….

    can you do something else than moan?
    In teh last week there is alwas isues and troubles and mostly you are the reason for that.
    take a step back and think about yourself.
    P.S. how still uses a Revo?
