Hi stmcgill, hi all,
After a lot of trial-and-error I finally got Route 66 to work on my E61. The problem turned out to be simply a corrupt 512MB miniSD card supplied with Route66. I bought a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II, installed using the DVD, and it works like a charm. A new 512MB card from Route 66 should be on its way to me.
And let me say that Route 66 were very kind and responsive in their support process, something totally lacking with Navman the last time I used their software (they screw me over on stating their software supported my Sony Clie, then when they found out it didn’t work after all, they deleted the statement on their website and refused to refund me).
Btw, I didn’t use the file mentioned above.. might have a look at it though…
Regards,
Duncan.

This download is not intended for Symbian S60 3rd devices. It is targeted for the 2nd edition. The Route 66 build on my E60 is 7.3.468 (> 7.0.1095). Also, this download is more than 2 months old. This is no news.

All the updates are listed here - including what appears to be the newest version: 7.3.520.

Nice link. Where did you get it from?
On the official support page (http://www.66.com/route66/support.php?cid=UK&sec=1&ssec=1) Route 66 states that there will be an update soon. But no download links yet.

Hmm….. Route 66 is now not working on my E70 at all, it’s giving a security error. R66 support have been useless, no response from them after 48 hours….. 8-(
And Navicore kept crashing. When, oh when are TomTom going to enter the fray - they’re about the only solution I really trust!

Ommitted from the copy of the posting was the the Route 66 support web page didn’t have a reference to the file; I had to go poking around in the directory to find a file that worked. The downloaded file in the link was the right one and worked; I don’t know where the wrong one came from, but the correct link is http://www.66.com/route66/images/website/updates/mobile7/Mobile7.3.520.sa.sis

Hello,
TT6 is now available to sale. Does anybody have used it on a E61 and E70 ?
I have now to decide between E61 and E70 :
- Low cost and large screen for E61
- APN, designed like a phone and real keybord for E70.
GPS navigation will be for me the criteria to decide between the two.
Is it the E70′ screen enough large to have a good navigation in a car ?
