Annoyances & Questions

Filed under: Articles — stmcgill @ 7:36 pm

I have some annoyances that are starting to bug me about the E61. The good bits are ultra reliability, great battery life, superb email and web browsing and the genral build quality. Does any of the following happen to you?

1/ Seems close to impossible for caller ID to work with 90% of my stored telephone numbers. If a number comes up and I choose to add it to a contact it is already there so I have to add it again. Problem is that the next day it does not display caller ID again? Using FS Caller has not helped.

2/ Why oh why can I not set the alarm funton for a new calendar entry to be defaulted to ‘on’?

3/ Is there a way to turn the screen off without having to wait for the set time out? I am thinking of at night when you still need the E61 on for the morining alarm…

4/ Not technically an E61 problem but has anyone else noticed that you lose your place in a book in Mobipocket if you turn the phone off and back on.

5/ How easy is it to set the default font to be smaller and not destabilise the device?

That’s it for now- if I am wrongon any of the above feel free to put me right using the comments :) Apologies for the lack of entries the past few days- had broadband problems…
