There’s a Treo in my house…

It’s coming up to that time of year where I have to complete my tax return. I’m not the best at keeping records but I do keep everything, just that I don’t calculate it every month. Everything financial transaction I need has been kept in Splash Money on the Treo 650 and other bits of information are in Note Studio on the Treo.

The Treo has been sat on my desk for the past 2 weeks with the Nokia E61 being my main daily device and it is indeed a joy to use. So much so that I set up the E61 Blog which has started very well. The problem is that there have been a few occasions where I have had to return to the Treo to get information I need and with all of the 3rd party software on the market if you need to keep it there will be a way to do it. Not so with the E61 which has very few applications available for it and it is especially poor on the financial side.

Obviously this will change in time and in my opinion the E61 is much better from a hardware and reliability point of view than the Treo so the E61 will win whatever happens but until that time the Treo has to stay and still be used daily for a lot of actiities. I hate using two devices because it is not efficient but at this time I see no other choice.

I guess this is the price of early adopting a new OS but in time I hope that it will pay dividends…
