Google Video (100’s of clips for your E61)

Filed under: Articles — stmcgill @ 9:21 pm

As it’s the weekend let’s have some fun with videos. I finally discovered Google Video last night and noticed that you could download the videos in PSP format. This comes out as MP4 format and works well on most PDAs I have tried using TCPMP and also the E61 (after a bit of hassle finding the best way to convert them- see the comments). Ones I can recommend are:-

Johnny Cash, Hurt. Very moving and a wonderful song. Time Trumpet, Tescos Invades Denmark. British humour at it’s best. Gay Referee, the title says it all and finally Beatboxen Bush.

  1. What’s the quick conversion that’s required so that it plays on our E-61. Thanks!

  2. Ah- after I wrote the article I realised it wasn’t as quick as I first expected (updating article now). I had to use Pocket DVD Studio to convert the file first and then convert that finished file with Nokia Media Studio and then move it to the Nokia. Guess SmartMovie could do it in one shot but I’ve never been impressed with the results from that app.

  5. With the videodownloader-extension in Firefox you can also download clips from youtube. Just convert it with Super (see above post) to mp4 (music: aac), and it runs smoothly on th E61.
