Fonts?

One minor annoyance of the E61 for me is the size of the font in most of the built-in applications. Any one out there know if it is possible to change the default font and even better make it smaller?

HomeRun

A few years back only one mobile game caught my attention and kept it for hours on end- it was HomeRun which came pre-installed on a variety of Psion devices.

I’m even sad enough to admit that the availability of HomeRun from ZingMagic for the E61 was one of the reasonswhy I chose the device.

It is one of those games that takes a second to learn but it will also keep you comingback for more over and over again. It is also very very cheap. Trust me- it is one of the best card games ever invented (in my over inflated opinion:))

HomeRun is a highly addictive card solitaire – played with a standard pack of 52 playing cards and up to 4 Jokers – that combines luck with skill providing endless hours of fun and entertainment.

  • Choice of layouts.
  • Choice of backgrounds.
  • Full undo of moves.
  • High score table.
  • Full player statistics - we dare you to show your boss the number of games played !!.
  • Supports English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
  • HomeRun is just one of our large collection of best of breed classic board, card and puzzle games available for a wide range of platforms.

Just received my copy of navicore Personal and will attempt to have a review up withing the next few days. It certainly ticks all of the boxes in terms of spec but real world use can often be a very different thing.

If you can’t wait for my review check out this one at AAS.

“Whether you’re working or on holidays, there are better things to do during travel than trying to comprehend an old map or deciphering unclear driving instructions. Navicore Personal is the easy to use navigator that loyally accompanies you in your pocket to wherever you go and effortlessly guides you to the destination. So you’ll find your way stress-free irrespective of whether you are driving a car, cycling or just having a walk.”

What would you change about built-in S60 applications?

What would you change about built-in S60 applications? is a poll designed to see what we do not like about S60. It’s mostly great with the odd annoying blip in the Symbian programming- have your say, it may make a difference.

In my last post Analyzing the feedback for Nokia devices based on S60 3rd Edition, James asked how you could send improvement suggestions for Nokia, and I promised to devote a thread to it. Let’s narrow the scope here to the built-in S60 apps, because it is the only area I have any direct influence on.
